THE EASIEST SETUP FOR YOUR STREAM

With just a microphone, headphones and a laptop/PC (plus a solid internet connection!) you can stream your content from anywhere in the world. Choosing to use a USB connection means you don't need to worry about any extra equipment. Just plug in, select a few settings and your mic is ready! Featuring Voice Isolation Technology and access to lots of other settings via the app, the MV7 is the easiest way to level up to professional quality sound for your stream. Follow the steps below to set up your MV7 microphone:

SETTING UP YOUR MV7 IN 3 STEPS:

1. CONNECT YOUR MICROPHONE
VIA USB TO YOUR DEVICE.

2. DOWNLOAD THE SHURE MOTIV APP
AND SELECT MV7 FROM THE DROP-DOWN MENU AT THE TOP

3. SELECT YOUR MIC POSITION AND TONE USING AUTO LEVEL MODE AND YOU'RE READY TO GO!

USING THE SHURE MOTIV DESKTOP APP: AUTO LEVEL MODE

Automatically adjusts EQ, Gain & more! All you need to do is select your preferences for the following three options and your microphone is ready to give your viewers a top-quality experience in your livestream!

Customise the mix of your mic signal and device playback with this simple slider.

Select your distance from the mic to match your style - up close and personal or laid back and relaxed?

Near Mode: 2.5 cm - 15 cm
Far Mode: 15 cm - 45 cm

Adjust the tone of your voice by selecting 'Dark', 'Natural' or 'Bright' and your mic will automatically adjust the settings.

USING THE SHURE MOTIV DESKTOP APP: MANUAL MODE

For even greater control over your sound, you can switch to Manual Mode in the app which opens up a number of additional settings for you to adjust:

Boost the Mic Gain if your signal level is too low in your software's mixer.

Choose 'Flat' for unaltered EQ.
Add a high-pass filter to reduce proximity effect. presence to emphasise clarity, or both!

Toggle the Limiter On/Off to prevent distortion during high volume speech and use Light, Medium or Heavy Compression to control signal levels resulting in a denser, louder sound.

MV7 TIPS & ADDITIONAL FEATURES

KEEP IT CONSISTENT

The MV7 features a cardioid polar pattern making it a directional microphone.
For best results, ensure the mic is pointed towards you at all times. Plus, when using
Manual Mode or connecting via XLR, the closer you are to the mic, the better!

BUILT-IN TOUCH PANEL + LEVEL METER

Featuring volume control slider, mic mute, monitor toggle and lock button, you can adjust
these settings without opening the app. Alongside this is an LED live level meter displaying
your microphone level, headphone level, or both if you're using Monitor Mix.

LOCK IN YOUR SOUND

Once you've found your perfect settings, you can lock the mic to prevent any accidental
changes to your signature sound. Simply press and hold both the Mic Mute and Monitor Toggle
buttons for 2 seconds or use the padlock icon located toward the top right of the app.

SETTING UP YOUR MV7 VIA XLR

1. Mount your MV7 to a desktop
stand or boom arm.

2. Using an XLR cable, connect
your MV7 to an Audio Interface.

3. Connect your Audio Interface
to your laptop/PC via USB.
